Here is a great way to get started with Safeguard™, and save over 5% from à la carte pricing. You will receive one box each of our Trainer, Operator, and #4 or 00 Buck. These loads are both a ballistic match and matched for penetration. Shoot the Trainers at the range to sight in and practice, then load up the others for duty.

The “FBI Protocol” Starter Pack meets the FBI standard of 12″-18″ of penetration in ballistic gelatin (a little deeper than the INS prefers). Also a great choice for home defense, if you prefer a little deeper penetration.

Please note: Since our 00 Buck does not come in a Tactical Velocity (1,100 FPS) or High Velocity (1,250 FPS), should you order a Tactical or High Velocity FBI Pack you will receive the matching velocity #4 Buck. Please expect a little less penetration from #4 Buck vs. 00 Buck

*NOTE: Tactical Velocity (1100FPS) shells – while easy on the shoulder – might not cycle some semi-automatic shotguns. Our testing has shown that the Remington 1100 and recoil-operated Benellis did not cycle reliably with Tactical Velocity shells, but did cycle reliably with High Velocity and Magnum Velocity shells. However, the Remington Versa Max and Mossberg 930 cycled reliably with all velocity shells. When in doubt, speed up! ALWAYS TEST FIRE YOUR WEAPON BEFORE USING IT IN AN OPERATIONAL ENVIRONMENT.
